This year, we will be returning with another outstanding event to the Ventura Harbor Village. On the main lawn, you will find a fantastic showcase of electric vehicles. There will be Cars, Vans, SUVs, Trucks, Bikes, and other electric equipment, as well as vintage EV conversions. To demonstrate the community action of Clean Air Day, an electric school bus from the Ventura Unified School District will be on display. The cars are displayed by their owners, who have years of EV ownership and have driven many petroleum-free miles. They are all enthusiastic and willing to discuss their experiences and answer your questions about owning and living with an EV.
If you own an EV, register with the RSVP button and bring your vehicle to the showcase, meet and mingle with members of our local EV community. Enjoy the opportunity to visit the Ventura Harbor Village for some excellent dining and shopping options. You might even stroll down to the Visitor Center of Channel Islands National Park to learn about the amazing resource just off our coast. (Sorry, no chargers are available out there.)
The port district has implemented paid parking on the weekends for the main lots. If you arrive early, you may find a free spot along Spinnaker Drive. Otherwise, the paid parking is from 10 am to 8 pm. Information available at https://venturaharbor.com/parking/. Of course, if your electric vehicle is part of our showcase, you will receive free, premium parking on the lawn. (Sorry, no valet service)
This will be the 13th National Drive Electric Week Showcase in Ventura County. Last year’s event displayed 80 vehicles representing 37 models, including an electric school bus. The combined EV mileage exceeded 3 million miles. This year, we anticipate having a greater diversity of vehicles, with more owners and experiences to share.
To further your knowledge about electric vehicles, charging options, rebates, and electrical options, booths from community organizations and service providers will be available to answer your questions.
This event is sponsored by the Santa Barbara-Ventura Chapter of the Sierra Club, the Clean Power Alliance, and California Clean Air Day. On the ground, the organization is provided by the EV Advocates of Ventura County.
