Clean Air Vehicle Ride and Drive (R&D) events are a great way to introduce zero emission vehicles to the general population, as well as prospective Driving Clean Assistance Program (DCAP) incentive applicants who may be experiencing driving a battery electric, plug-in hybrid electric or fuel cell vehicle for the first time through events like these. Getting behind the wheel to test drive a clean air vehicle has never been easier or less stress free! This is the best time for you and your family to check out what clean air vehicles have to offer and learn more about state incentives that can make ownership a reality.

DCAP is proud to partner with local dealerships to make these events possible. When you attend a Ride and Drive event, you not only get access to a variety of clean air vehicles, but also local vehicle expertise.

The Driving Clean Assistance Program is committed to hosting Ride and Drive events in areas of the state that are most disadvantaged and would benefit from vehicle incentives and other tools and resources the program offers.

In 2025, DCAP continued expanding hands-on EV education across the state through Ride & Drive (R&D) events. From San Bernardino to Bishop to Eureka , residents received real opportunities to explore EVs, ask questions, and experience clean-air vehicles in person.
